About our points system and how points are accumulated

Points and status

The Parent World rewards you with points when you contribute to the site. The number of points you get depends on what contribution you make. Points do not have any monetary value but they earn members a status and position on our top contributors list. We run competitions throughout the year that reward our top contributors with real prizes (see our competitions section for more details). Points and status help give other members some confidence that you are experienced in the level of advice you offer. High contributors also have the chance to earn money as site moderators.

How you are allocated points

Points are allocated as follows:-

+1 point for each log-in per 24 hour period
+2 points when a contribution is made to an existing thread that the member hasn't already contributed to
+3 points when a member creates the first response in a thread
+5 points when a member creates a new thread
+2 points when a member lists an event
+20 points when they feature an event
+3 points when a member enters a competition
